2nd Alarm Apartment Fire (2/6/15)

Elmwood Park C/Os had a reported machine on fire at 35 Conti Parkway (the circle). After it was assumed it was knocked, interior reported to command that they had fire in the rear and they couldn't reach it with their line and asked for a second line to the rear. At the same time interior had smoke conditions getting worse and dispatch notified command that they received an alarm at 36 Conti parkway. At that time command asked for the first box alarm. C/Os on scene kept working until conditions on the second floor worsened and C/Os pulled out. Command asked for a second Alarm and Norwood Park's truck was pulled to the A side to start defensive ops, along with Leyden's Aerial to the C/D corner of the building. defensive ops progressed for a while till partial collapse of the second floor at that time C/Os finally started making a good knock on the fire. Once the main body of the fire was knocked small operations inside the interior resumed.
